Macheso ready to meet Mvurwi

Orchestra Mberikwazvo boss Alick Macheso

Orchestra Mberikwazvo boss Alick Macheso is taking his band to Mvurwi for his annual visit on Friday.

Macheso usually visits Mvurwi during the tobacco-selling season at the giant Shamwari Joe Hotel.

The band’s publicist Tich Makahamadze said they were ready to meet their fans in Mvurwi and surrounding areas.

“It is that time of the year when we visit Mvurwi to meet our fans as per our norm every year,” Makahamadze said.

Shamwari Joe Hotel director Barbra Mukombwe said it was always a pleasure to host Macheso as he normally packs the venue.

“We are ready to host Macheso we know the place will be packed and we are honoured to have him at Shamwari Joe,” she said.

“Everything is now in place, from of ice cold beer, braai packs to a good and secure parking space.”

Macheso usually performs before full houses in Mvurwi and Guruve, whenever he visits the area, especially during the tobacco-selling season.
