Bosso earned a valuable point after forcing a draw against former Castle Lager Premier Soccer League champions, Ngezi Platinum Stars, in Mhondoro on Monday.

HIGHLANDERS coach Kevin Kaindu was satisfied with a point on the road after his team fired blanks against Ngezi Platinum Stars.

Bosso earned a valuable point after forcing a draw against former Castle Lager Premier Soccer League champions, Ngezi Platinum Stars, in Mhondoro on Monday.

Ngezi were smarting from a defeat against TelOne going into the match, but they could not make up for that disappointment with maximum points.

“It was a good game. I think it's difficult to play your game on a field like this, but maybe with a bit of luck, we could have come out with maximum points. I think we had better chances; they created half chances," Kaindu noted after the match.

He was happy that his team kept a clean sheet as the result leaves them seventh on the table, seven points behind leaders, MWOS.

“Maybe just the positive part is that we kept a clean sheet today. It's unfortunate that we have not managed to score a goal today, but we tried to push. I think playing in Ngezi after losing, I'm sure they were going to put in 100%.

“I think for us to get a point, we haven't done very well away from home. We still have to work very hard for us to begin to pick up points.

Ngezi Platinum Stars dropped to three points behind the pacesetters, MWOS.

Ngezi coach Takesure Chiragwi opined that his team should have wrapped up the points in the first half.

“We had so many chances that we could have taken. But I think we kept on coming, looking for a goal, but we couldn't manage. In  the second half, they came back very strong and that's the Highlanders we know. After the break, they will come at you, but we kept the discipline and it ended in a draw."

Marvin Gaki and Takunda Benhura had chances to win it for the home side, but they fluffed their lines.

Next up, Ngezi travel to Mutare to face Bikita Minerals, while Highlanders will be in Gweru for a date with TelOne.
