DYNAMOS coach Lloyd Chigowe has appealed to the club’s fans to be patient with the team as they are in the middle of cooking something special ahead of their blockbuster clash against high-flying newcomers MWOS FC at their newly renovated home Ngoni Stadium in Norton.
The beleaguered Harare giants have had a difficult start to the season as they sit in 13th place with six points from their first six matches.
DeMbare have won just one match, a 1-0 triumph over defending champions Simba Bhora, with three draws and two defeats.
Chigowe’s will be looking to put an end to a run of two consecutive losses when they make the short trip to Norton.
“As always with the fans, we are Dynamos and without them we are not so they should continue to rally behind the team. They should appreciate that we have got a number of youngsters who are still to adjust to being at Dynamos,” he said.
“They learnt a hard lesson in the game against Chicken Inn when they experienced the hostility from their own fans and that should spur them on, but ultimately, patience is the key because we are cooking, we are in the middle of a rebuilding exercise and definitely they will get better as the season progresses.
“We are not panicking because this team has not been outperformed. We lost when we had given a very good fight.
“In Mutare, we gave Manica Diamonds a torrid time. They were fortunate to get an early goal in the first 15 minutes and from the 35th minute they were under the cosh and you saw the seesaw that was the match against Chicken Inn.”

Added Chigowe: “We were so desperate to get the three points and we through caution to the wind and we were caught on the break otherwise we believe that these boys will get it right.
Of course, here and there we will be new faces in the team.”
Affectionately referred to as MaBlanyo in football circles, Chigowe is one of the under-fire coaches in the topflight league amid reports that the club leadership convened a meeting during the week to discuss his position.
Chigowe believes defeats in the last two matches will spur the players on to do well against a familiar opponent.
“We have got an idea of how MWOS Football Club plays. We know that they are on a roll and we have tasted defeat on two consecutive matches and that should spur us to give a very good fight in Norton,” he said.
“We have got a longer preparation period to assess the guys who are battle ready because we have already lost Temptation Chiwunga and Freddy Aleck. We are trying to see if Tellmore Pio will be up to the task.”
MWOS FC, coached by former Dynamos son Lloyd Mutasa, have had a dream start to life in the premier soccer league as they top the standings early on.
The Punters are one of the two teams yet to taste defeat in the division along with FC Platinum and have won four of their six match to perch at the top of the standings with 14 points.
Ngezi Platinum Stars are their nearest rival after amassing 13 points from the same number of matches while debutants Scottland FC and Simba Bhora complete the top four on 11 points , with the former enjoying superior goal difference.
