HARARE, Mar. 3 (NewsDay Live) - The Zim-Israel Connect, a platform designed to facilitate cooperation between Zimbabwe and Israel, has been launched in Harare amid efforts to increase collaboration in religious and economic spheres between the two countries.
Speaking at the launch, Ronny Levi Musan, head of consulate for Zimbabwe in Israel, said the connection of every Bible believer to Israel was supernatural and beyond people’s ability to understand it.
“Israel, the Holy Land, is in fact the mother of all churches. It is their spiritual beacon as written in the prophet Isaiah: ‘For out of Zion shall go forth the word of God, and the word of God from Jerusalem’,” he said.
“Without the connection to Israel and the Holy Scriptures, churches are in fact nothing more than social and community centres.
“The first time I met His Excellency President Emmerson Mnangagwa, I saw a man who truly believes in God, who puts God first.
“He was moved by the delegation that came with me from Israel, and the re-connection to the Holy Land through my appointment has resulted in a very unique relationship between Zimbabwe and Israel, far beyond the changing diplomatic affairs.”
He said his coming to the Zim-Israel Connect launch was meant to bring Israel one step closer to the hearts of Zimbabweans, both spiritually and materially.
“On the spiritual plane, I am here to help promote various spiritual events such as the Israel - Zimbabwe Online Church, which will broadcast unique messages from Zion to the phone of every person in Zimbabwe, whether in the city, the village, or the farm,” Musan said..
