POPULAR Botswana music sensation and sizzling dancer Naledi Kaisara, better known as Slizer, will share the stage with Peter “Young Igwe” Moyo at a show to be held at a local hotel on Friday.

Tafadzwa Maridadi, event organiser of the show confirmed Slizer’s performance to Southern Eye Lifestyle yesterday. “Zimbabwe is Slizer’s second home and this is not her first performance in the country. Her fans in the city will witness her trademark dynamic and energetic performances,” Maridadi said.

The event organiser revealed sharing the stage by the two musicians was an initiative to strengthen relations between Botswana and Zimbabwean artistes, adding that Slizer had enjoyed cordial relations with Peter’s late father, Tongai.

Besides her kwasa-kwasa house style, it is Slizer’s sex appeal that seems to give her the edge. She started her music career over a decade ago as a backing vocalist for various renowned Batswana groups, including Franco and Alfredo Mos.

Slizer shot to fame with her debut album O Tswa Kae in 2008 which reportedly sold over 30 000 copies and was followed by several hit songs that are currently enjoying a purple patch across the region.

The house-kwasa songstress and dance queen cancelled a show with Alick Macheso on his Botswana tour early this year due to her pregnancy. Slizer gave birth to her second child in June.
