Bet247, a growing betting house, officially opened a new branch in the Harare central business district (CBD) on Saturday.
The new shop, located along Jason Moyo and adds to the one in Dzivarasekwa, celebrated its grand opening with a vibrant event.
Socialite and DJ Mitchel Mutongwizo, also known as Yahya Goodvibes, was the guest of honor. The festivities included a lively roadshow featuring comedian and content creator Cody Tinker, a.k.a. Cody The Rank Marshall, who was a star attraction.
To celebrate the new location, Bet247 also launched a raffle for customers.
Punters who place any physical bets at the new shop can enter for a chance to win prizes. The first draw is scheduled for September 20, 2025, with an HP Probook 450 laptop up for grabs.
The second draw, on November 8, 2025, will offer an iPhone Promax. A 75-inch Hisense TV will be the prize for the final draw on December 20.
To enter, customers simply write their details on the back of their betting slip and submit it for the draw.
The Bet247 Manager, Tafadzwa Mukumbi, spoke at the opening, highlighting the company's growth and commitment to the community.

"Today marks an important milestone," he said. "This is the launch of a space where sports lovers and betting fans can come together and enjoy exciting betting in a safe and responsible way."
Mukumbi noted that the new branch is a testament to the overwhelming support Bet247 has received since starting in August 2022. "We are here not only to provide high-quality services, transparent entertainment, but also to create jobs and support local businesses," she added.
Bet247 recently concluded its inaugural English Premier League (EPL) Fantasy League competition.
A fortnight ago, the company awarded prizes to the top three winners at its Harare offices.
The competition, which ran throughout the 2024/2025 EPL season, saw more than 1,000 enthusiastic managers compete for a total prize pool of US$1,750.
The first-place winner received US$1,000, the runner-up took home US$500, and the third-place finisher was awarded US$250.
Hansen Bvumai emerged as the overall winner with an impressive 2,561 points, finishing 43 points ahead of second-place Marshall Mudzudzu (2,518 points). Harrison Sibanda rounded out the top three with 2,471 points.
A new Bet247 EPL Fantasy League, promising to be even bigger and better, is already underway.
