A MAHATSHULA North man has found himself in the hands of law enforcement agents after stealing a bicycle from a juvenile.
Nicholas Mlunjwana (45) appeared before Bulawayo magistrate Evia Matura to answer to a charge of theft.
He pleaded not guilty and was remanded in custody to July 7.
The court was told that on May 12 at Queens Park East shops, Mlunjwana met the 15-year-old complainant who was riding a bicycle.
He reportedly asked the boy to accompany him on an errand but the latter refused.
The boy reportedly parked his bicycle outside a supermarket and Mlunjwana allegedly followed him in the shop, but left earlier than the teenager.
Mlunjwana allegedly stole the bicycle.
On May 26, the complainant met Mlunjwana and he informed his father, who reported the case to the police, leading to the suspect’s arrest.
