
THE founder of Bulawayo’s Rehoboath College, Thina Mpofu (44), was on Friday honoured with the prestigious Women’s Outstanding Achievement Award 2025 in Education, an accolade that recognises her unwavering dedication to transforming lives through learning.
Mpofu’s influence in education continues to grow, touching the lives of countless students and communities in Bulawayo.
Speaking to Southern Eye recently, Mpofu said she was super excited and felt honoured to have won this year’s award.
“This recognition fuels my passion to empower others through education. My words reflect not just pride, but a deep sense of purpose rooted in years of hard work, sacrifice and an enduring belief in the power of knowledge,” she said.
She said the award was more than just a personal victory.
“This award will catapult my impact, opening doors to new opportunities, collaborations and innovative projects,” she said.
Mpofu said with an eye on the future, she remained committed to excellence, ready to inspire and uplift others especially young women on their journey to success.
“I will continue to strive for excellence, inspiring others to pursue their passions fearlessly,” she said.
