HARARE, May. 5 (NewsDay Live) – The People’s Own Savings Bank has partnered with Zimnat General Insurance, a partnership that allows POSB to offer various insurance services underwritten by the insurer.
In a statement, the bank said the move will enhance its service portfolio and provide customers with convenient access to essential insurance services.
“People's Own Savings Bank (POSB) is excited to announce a strategic partnership with Zimnat General Insurance to provide an extensive range of bancassurance services. Through this collaboration, POSB is now offering various insurance services underwritten by Zimnat, thereby enhancing the bank's service portfolio and providing customers with convenient access to essential insurance services,” read the statement.
“Under this partnership, POSB is now offering motor vehicle insurance, both third-party and comprehensive covers. Customers can now pay for their Zimnat motor vehicle insurance premiums and renew their ZINARA and ZBC radio licenses through POSB.”
The bank also said that it will be offering a Hospital Cash Plan through the same partnership, providing financial support to customers during hospitalisation, all underwritten by Zimnat.
“The Hospital Cash Plan is designed to provide customers with a daily cash benefit during hospitalisation, helping to cover incidental expenses and alleviate financial stress during recovery. This plan is part of POSB's commitment to offering practical and valuable financial solutions to its customers,” it read.
“POSB and Zimnat General Insurance are committed to expanding their bancassurance offerings. Other insurance services are currently in the pipeline, ensuring that customers will have access to a comprehensive package of insurance and financial services tailored to their needs, under one roof.”
POSB chief executive officer, Garainashe Changunda said the bank was dedicated to be enhancing its service offerings and meeting the evolving needs of its customers.
