Just Leo unleashes ‘Thando’

JUST LEO

JUST LEO, a Zimbabwean artist known for her authentic approach to music, has released her latest single titled Thando (Love).

The song is a blend of traditional Tonga drum rhythms and contemporary melodies, sung in both Ndebele and English.

Thando explores the universal theme of love, reflecting on its transformative power.

JUST LEO describes the song as a tribute to her ancestors, her homeland, and the future.

Her vocal performance is noted for its honesty and pride, drawing from her roots in Victoria Falls.

“There’s a lived honesty in my voice, the kind that can only come from someone who knows her story and sings it with pride,” she said.

“When I sing Thando, I’m singing to the grandmothers who carried us, the land that raised us, and the future we are building.”

Critics and fans have likened JUST LEO to iconic African artists like Miriam Makeba and Brenda Fassie, recognizing her vocal strength, authenticity, and emotional depth.

Thando is gaining traction on airwaves and playlists, signalling a growing international presence for the artist.

JUST LEO is positioned to influence the perception of African music globally.
