HARARE-based Afro-dancehall upcoming artist Martial John Simon whose stage name is Sparta Vybz is set to release  two singles titled Nhorondo and Mwenje on December 27 and December  31 respectively.

In an interview with Standard Style, Sparta Vybz said the two carry a message and encourage people to be good to each other and Nhorondo carries a message of hope.

“The upcoming project Mwenje encourages people  to be good to each other for example when  things are  good, financially it’s good to help others because when tables turn those people can help you too,” he said.

“Also you don’t have to be rich by stealing from people or doing bad things to people.

“The other project, Nhorondo, carries a message of hope that despite struggles we face in real life trying to be successful one day things will get better and all these struggles will be history, so we just have to keep working towards our goals,” he said.

“I started doing music when I was 11 years- old and I was inspired by Urban Grooves legend Decibel to do music,” he said.

“I faced many challenges like rejection from fellow citizens, who did not want to listen to my music and also financial challenges for recording and visual productions,” he said.

The upcoming musician has recorded 22 songs such as Moto, Ghetto, Chikoro, MaPromoter , Ndiri murudo , No to GBV and Winning Point just to mention a few since he started his career.

Sparta Vybz advised fellow musicians trying to make it in the music industry not to give up.

“I also want to advise fellow musicians who are trying to make it in the music industry not to give up easily because this is not an easy journey so we must try not to give and we must also work together, I'm sure one day we will make it,” he said.

“Musicians must stay away from drugs while pursuing their careers knowing that drugs do not develop confidence in them, just believe in yourself, that's the confidence you need.”
