SONGSTRESS Tamy Moyo has made a powerful statement with the release of her new album, "Bold," just ahead of her headline performance at the Shoko Festival

The festival, one of Zimbabwe's longest-running urban arts events, will see Moyo share the stage with Nadia Nakai, Young Gemini, Master H, Voltz JT, Kay Flow, and comedian Learnmore Jonasi.

Themed ‘Both sides of Samora’, the festival will run from September 26 to 28, in Harare and Chitungwiza.

Released on Tuesday following a listening session, "Bold" showcases a reinvented Tamy Moyo, blending diverse emotions and sounds.

Speaking about the album at the listening session, Moyo expressed her excitement about the project.

"I named the album 'Bold' because it represents strength and the ability to convey that emotion through music," she said.

"I hope it inspires people to draw strength from within and live authentically, embracing their inner champions as they navigate life's journey."

Influenced by a wide range of artists, including Delroy Shewe, Saintfloew, Jah Prayzah, Alick Macheso, Nutty O, Winky D, the late Chiwoniso Maraire, and Soul Jah Love, "Bold" offers a rich textile of sounds.

The album features tracks like "Bvunza," "Kwatoenda," "Husiku," "Sondela," "Ghosted," "Chinono," "Personally," "Yaweh," "Mwenje," "The Road," and "Rasta."
