I was surprised to find that Elliot Abrams, one of the long discredited neo-cons, who worked for president Ronald Reagan (1980-1988) and has resurfaced this week in Foreign Affairs, laying out president Donald Trump policy in Gaza and the Middle East.
Neo-cons were responsible the Iraqi war under false pretenses (2001-2008). Jeffrey Sachs has revealed that, beginning in 2001, two years before the Iraqi war, the neo-cons were holding workshops about what lie would sell best to the American people, if war was declared on Iraq.
US policy under Trump follows the path of destabilisation, whether in the Middle East or in South Africa. Secondly the military defence industry wants “a try-out” of their new weapons in real time. Thirdly, war mongering is supposed to kill (if necessary) any leader who follows an independent policy from that of the US.
Our readers should know that there is no difference between Democrats and Republicans. Barack Obama or Joe Biden was no different from Donald Trump. It was Obama who sanctioned the overthrow of Bashir Al Assad in Syria and Muammar Gadaffi in Libya (2011). Obama also deported three million Hispanic immigrants crossing the Mexican border.
The elimination of Arabs in Gaza by bullets or starvation can be traced to an Israeli document (1953). Biden mourned the use of 2 000-pound bombs used on Gaza Arabs and the splatter of brains, blood and flesh of women and children scattered in their wake.
The German Chancellor Olaf Sholtz asked a naughty question. “Has it occurred to you to stop supplying Israel with 2 000-pound bombs?”
The failure of US-Israeli policy in Gaza can be attributed to the advent of the video-tape and YouTube in 2015. No matter how the New York Times and Reuters tried to hide the atrocities, Biden saw the distressful scenes on video-tape social media.
Thus, while Biden mourned about the heart-rending atrocities through-out his tenure (2020-2024) he continued to supply Israel with bombs, surveillance and even military support.

The famous land bridge, supposed to be a conduit for US humanitarian aid for Gaza Arabs, was in fact a spy bridge to help Israelis. So was the British Cyprus base used both as a spy bridge and a supply base for Israeli forces. (Source: British Journalist Matt Kennard).
Asked if Palestinians would have the right to return to Gaza, Trump told Fox News “No, they wouldn’t because they’re going to have much better housing. I’m talking about building a permanent place for them,” he said, adding it would take years for Gaza to be habitable again.
In a slip of the tongue, Trump’s son in law, the Jewish American developer Jared Kushner told a Harvard University workshop: “I don’t know if I will allow them to return.”
Trump’s negotiator, Steve Witkoff, is another New York developer. But there is more. Large deposits of gas and oil were discovered by the British Petroleum Company with the assistance of Infosys-an Indian tech company belonging to the former British prime minister, Rish Sunak.
Trump is saying in public what these globalists say in private. To hell with the Arabs. The Arabs find themselves in a hard place. Egypt and Jordan are regarded as the most loyal US allies and have in the past, done its bidding. Now, they are being asked to clear out 2.2 million Arabs from Gaza to give way for Jewish American land barons.
The treatment of Hispanic immigrants from Latin America is not a serious issue. They are regarded as non-European. As we speak, Trump may deport 3 million of them in the next 12 months. The association of nationality with criminality has attracted the Pope’s attention. Here is what His Holiness says, February 10.
“The rightly formed conscience cannot fail to make a critical judgement and express its disagreement with any measure that tacitly or explicitly identifies the illegal status of some migrants with criminality.”
The South African issue deserves some serious attention because it will affect Zimbabwe. Trump has been influenced by three South African born whites, Elon Musk, Peter Teal and David Sachs. Teal sponsored vice-president Mike Walz in his business interests.
The South African government’s desire to take away unused farmland from Boer farmers-whether with or without compensation, has provoked the sympathy of the three musketeers. But what really is at issue is South Africa’s involvement in the indictment of Israel at the International Criminal Court.
Chief Rabbi Warren Goldstein has said some very bad words about president Cyril Ramaphosa. In the last century, South African Jews protected blacks and were generous with their gifts. Ramaphosa, in condemning Israel is a Negro who has left the plantation.
South Africa will lose US$440 million right away. My experience in Jamaica is that brothers are rarely prepared for retaliation. Instead, they talk big words. Estimates say well over 17 000 people employed in South Africa will be affected. This excluded the possible revocation of AGOA (agricultural import) arrangements. The total affected, taking into account the fact that every African in full employment supports ten people could well be 170 000.
I left Jamaica in 1976 because Britain, in withdrawing its support on the Jamaican dollar, depreciated it by 100%. Jamaica wanted to renegotiate its sovereign rights over minerals. My rent, which was US$350 rose to US$700 overnight. I found myself a refugee in the US.
Imagine the effect on the 17 000 employees of USAid, those in Family Planning, HIV outreach and US Red Cross when they hear of their dismissals. Americans pay well above local standards. Their employees have insurance policies and children in fancy schools.
Africans need to find replacements before implementing sovereign policies. When Trump says bad words, keep your mouth shut.
Zimbabwe will lose US$340 million in one year alone. I have friends with good jobs at the US Library and as drivers. Patriotic mouthing by Brother Chris Mustvangwa is worse than cold comfort.
