ARCHITECTURAL design company Troika Design Workshop (TDW) has fulfilled its promise to St George's College by unveiling a cricket kit for the school's team, which is bound for South Africa.

The kit, which includes training and playing gear, is part of TDW's commitment to investing in the communities they operate in, particularly St George's College.

St George's College headmaster John Farrell wished the team well. He shared his experiences of going on cricket and football tours in his school days during the unveiling ceremony held at the school premises in Harare yesterday.

"Enjoy the next few days. You're going to wear that blazer, you're going to wear the kit and you should be proud of yourselves," he said.

TDW partner Simanga Madhlabuta said the company's relationship with St George's College was set to continue.

"We wanted to support community initiatives and sport is one way of giving back to the community. We've chosen cricket and our relationship with St George's has helped us grow further," Madhlabuta said.

"We want to be there as long as we can, but so far we're committed to the next five years to be involved in the college and to also grow our sponsorship."

This is the second time TDW has sponsored the kit for St George's College.

Last year, TDW donated a digital cricket scoreboard to the college.

The St George's College team leaves for South Africa this morning.
