
WARRIORS vice-captain Marshall Munetsi was last night reported to be closing in on a big bucks move to English Premier League side
Wolves from Ligue 1 side Reims.
According to reports, yesterday morning as well some updates in the evening, the 28-year-old midfielder was set to become Zimbabwe's most expensive footballer with the two clubs having agreed a deal in the region of around US$20 million.
The club completed the signing of Emmanuel Agbadou from Stade de Reims during the winter transfer and were back for Munetsi on deadline day.
Foot Mercato reported that Wolves had made a “crazy offer” for the former Orlando Pirates star.
The report suggested that the Premier League club "dropped a big offer".
The Zimbabwe international arrived at Stade de Reims from South African side Orlando Pirates FC in 2019 and has been a regular for the club since then. Munetsi has made 21 appearances in all competitions this season.
Vítor Pereira’s side have been working on improving their midfield in this window.
