WARRIORS’ attacker Tawanda Maswanhise’s exploits for his Scottish Premiership side Motherwell FC have earned him the honours of being named November Player of the Month for the club.
The former Leicester player joined Motherwell in August and has been a revelation, scoring important goals and providing assists for the Scottish side.
Motherwell announced on the official website that Maswanhise, capped six times by the Warriors, is their November Player of the Month.
“Having rounded off October with his first Motherwell goals against Dundee United, he (Maswanhise) continued his impressive form into November. Scoring against St Johnstone in the 2-1 win at Fir Park, his raw pace and direct nature has been an enthralling watch in the early days of his Fir Park career,” read the statement on Motherwell’s website.
The 22-year-old Maswanhise, debuted for the Warriors in the 2-0 defeat to Lesotho in a World Cup qualifier in June.
He scored his first goal for the Warriors last month in the 1-1 draw against Kenya in South Africa when the men’s senior national team qualified for the Africa Cup of Nations finals to be played in Morocco next year.
Motherwell are fifth on the log-table with 22 points from 15 games, winning seven games, one draw and seven defeats.
They are home to Dundee United a Fir Park on Saturday.
