SUBSTITUTE Valentine Kadonzvo scored an 87th minute equaliser to help wasteful Dynamos rescue a point against Yadah in a league match at Rufaro Stadium yesterday.
Evans Rusike’s goal on the half-hour mark, where he expertly dinked the ball over Dynamos goalkeeper Martin Mapisa, gave Yadah a half time lead, which they looked like they would protect until Kadonzvo ghosted on the backpost to squeeze in an Emmanuel Jalai cross for the leveller.
Dynamos bossed the larger parts of the game against a side intent on sitting back and waiting to break on the counter.
DeMbare coach Genesis Mangombe was left disappointed his team did not win this game because they should have.
The Glamour Boys were their own worst enemies, particularly the strikers who let the team down again.
They wasted an avalanche of chances in front of goal.

It was not even like Yadah goalkeeper Marshal Takarinda made many meaningful saves.
Dynamos strikers either missed the target or their attempts were so meek that the keeper barely had to do anything.
These were not half chances, but very good opportunities that any decent forwards must put away.
Their Namibian import Sadney Urikhob was again one of their best players on show, but he was guilty of missing a clear header from a yard out.
Ghanaian Emmanuel Paga twice, Alex Mandinyenya and Kadonzvo also missed good headed opportunities.
Mangombe was clueless on why their finishing has been so poor.
“I am very much worried now because we are missing clear chances, some which are harder to miss than score. That has been our story, poor execution and we do not score,” he said.
“We need to go back (to the drawing board) and address those problems so that we start scoring the chances we create because we are having a deficit in terms of our conversion.”
Despite Yadah playing second fiddle for most parts of the game, this match was there for the taking and it was their fault that they did not take all three points.
The Thomas Ruzive-coached side created a number of chances, mostly on the break.
Rusike should have given his side a first minute lead, but his angled shot lacked enough power to beat Mapisa.
On the 18th minute, his shot deflected just wide before King Nadolo’s dipping effort was tipped over by Mapisa.
A swift counter attack saw the Miracle Boys taking the lead.
Emmanuel Ziocha lost possession inside his own box and a quick counter saw Blessed Ndereki releasing Rusike, who finished smartly.
Star man Khama Billiat had a glorious chance to bury Dynamos on 60 minutes when he was put through on goal, but could not beat Mapisa from a one-on-one situation.
The visitors’ decision to sit back and try to soak Dynamos pressure late on also proved to be unwise as they unnecessarily invited trouble.
But Ruzive believed Billiat’s glaring miss was the game’s turning point.
“Of course, that was the turning point. I did not expect that a senior player like Khama would fail to convert that chance,” Ruzive said.
“But I thought the guys played very well and they are improving in each and every game. I am very happy getting a point away from home.
“The defenders defended well up until the last minutes when they slept on the wheel. They lost concentration in the last minutes of the game.”
The draw saw Dynamos drop one rung to seventh on the log standings with 28 points from 20 matches while Yadah is on 12th position with 23 points.
