AFTER parting ways with former Premier Soccer League former champions, Chicken Inn FC, Prince Matore has resurfaced at Central Region Division One Soccer League side, Kwekwe United, as head coach.
Matore, who left Chicken Inn last year, is expected to lead the ambitious Kwekwe-based team into the Premier League, as he takes over from Beknown Mhlangena.
Mhlangena has since been demoted to the post of assistant coach at the club.
Matore takes charge of a club, that has changed coach after coach, but failed to achieve their goal over the years.
Last year, former Warriors star Agent Sawu failed to last the distance alongside Ronald “Gidiza” Sibanda and Chipo Tsodzo.
However, more is expected from Matore, who won the 2015 topflight league title as Joey Antipas’ assistant coach at GameCocks.
Matore spent the better part of his coaching career as Antipas’ right-hand man at clubs that include Motor Action and South Africa’s AmaZulu.
“As a coach, you try as much as possible to compete in every game and try to win every game that you play,” Matore said.
