MASVINGO Provincial Affairs and Devolution minister Ezra Chadzamira has urged university students to embrace innovation to drive economic development in the country.
Chadzamira said this on Friday, while giving a special lecture at the Reformed Church University in Masvingo.
“The world we live in is rapidly evolving economically, technologically, socially and politically,” he said.
“The challenges we face from climate change to economic inequality are complex and interconnected.
“However, with these challenges come enormous opportunities for innovation, creativity and progress.”
He urged the students to transform their innovation and research into tangible business solutions to drive economic growth.
“As university students, you should embrace the spirit of innovation and collaboration,” Chadzamira said.
“A knowledge-based society thrives on innovation, critical thinking and relentless pursuit of learning.”
