Hotel Refurbs: A new look
African Sun Hotels has embarked on a multi-million-dollar renovation project across our hotels, in order to deliver value, and give our guests a more comfortable, modern, and memorable stay.
We are proud to announce that we are on course with our refurbishment projects after having completed the following;
Troutbeck Resort
All 68 rooms have been given a new look, with new furniture, carpets and bedding.
The common areas, such as the corridor, kitchen and lounges, have also been upgraded with new furniture.
Our restaurant was transformed into a cozy and inviting space, where you can enjoy delicious meals and drinks.
The roof was replaced with a more durable and eco-friendly material.
The second and final phase of our renovation project will begin in September 2023 and end in December 2023.
This phase will include painting the exterior of the resort and refurbishing the main entrance, making it more welcoming and accessible for our guests.
Hwange Safari Lodge
Eighty-nine rooms were completed, 85 being Standard rooms and four Executive rooms.
An additional 10 Deluxe rooms are expected to be done and in use by mid-September 2023.
The renovations followed a Safari design theme and one of the key features of this design is the placement of quality wood furniture, made to order by a Victoria Falls-based manufacturer.
This includes a work desk, small table, clothes closets and wall mirrors, all made from indigenous teak timber.
Bathrooms, living and sleeping areas were restyled to increase a sense of spaciousness. In keeping with global trends, the bathroom focus is on lovely, large showers.
Guests who have experienced the new rooms have expressed that they love the design as it complements the lodge in the bush concept while giving it a sense of modernity and practicality, which is sought after by the internationally experienced traveller of the 2020s.
The Victoria Falls Hotel
Twenty-nine classic rooms, 14 premium rooms, three executive suites, and the Presidential suite were refurbished including the kitchen and corridors to offer our guests a more comfortable and luxurious stay.
Guests will enjoy new furniture, modern amenities and stunning views of the falls.
Great Zimbabwe Hotel
Thirty-five rooms were beautifully revamped giving it modern bathrooms, furniture and stylish décor.
Only 12 rooms are yet to be completed and these will be done at a later stage.
The kitchen was partly done. However, its final phase of renovation is set to start in September 2023 and finish by the end of November this year.
To add to the excitement, the Hungwe Conference Centre has just been overhauled, making this hotel the perfect destination of choice in Masvingo and surrounding areas.
The conference centre can accommodate up to 300 guests and is equipped with state-of-the-art audio-visual facilities, providing a complete conference and accommodation solution to our guests, giving it a competitive edge.
With these renovations, guests can now enjoy modern and spacious rooms, state-of-the-art amenities, and a fresh and inviting atmosphere.
Our intention is to enhance the quality of our services as we aim to provide outstanding hospitality experiences that our guests love.
This will in turn result in more revenues and if we manage our operations well, it will ultimately yield profits that affect our remuneration in a positive way.
