No to ED 2030.

President Emmerson Mnangagwa took office in a 2017 military coup that toppled Zimbabwe’s long-time leader, Robert Gabriel Mugabe, who had held power since the country’s independence in 1980.

His leadership was designed to foster national socio-economic political growth.

Mnangagwa pledged after his inauguration to make significant, comprehensive and prompt adjustments to the bad socioeconomic situation and intolerable political circumstances.

When he ascended into power in 2017, some of the Zimbabwean citizens hoped that he was going to be better than Mugabe.

The 2023 elections once more demonstrated how the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) functions as a ZANU PF wing rather than a stand-alone electoral organisation.

The main reason the opposition lost was because the voters’ list was corrupted and never thoroughly reviewed, which allowed the ruling party to easily take advantage of irregular registrations and ghost voters.

Many people in rural areas were forced to vote for the ruling party Zanu-PF through aided voting. Therefore, it’s clear enough evidence of how Mnangangwa and his Zanu-PF government is full of corruption.

Most Zimbabweans are fed up with this regime. Due to corruption and poor financial management by the Zanu-PF administration, the nation’s economy and healthcare system are rapidly failing, and the poverty rate is significant.

Each year, hundreds of opposition leaders and activists are forcibly detained and subjected to torture for simply assembling or for peacefully opposing the Mnangangwa’s regime.

Recently, journalist Blessed Mhlanga was unlawfully arrested for simply practicing his work. Even voicing out your opinion on the internet against the ruling part is a major crime in Zimbabwe.

It is evident that the ruling Zanu-PF has worsened problems affecting our country. Hence, no to ED 2030.
