A Harare woman has sought a protection order against her husband after accusing him of threatening to kill her for denying him conjugal rights.
The couple appeared before Harare magistrate Meenal Narotam, who heard that Nobby Mugabe was in the habit of threatening his wife Pauline Pfute.
Mugabe opposed Pfute’s application for a protection order saying her wife was failing to play her duties in the bedroom.
“It has been over three months now without sex in our marriage,” he submitted.
“I want the court to ask her why she refuses and sometimes even wears a pair of jeans when going to bed.”
He denied ever harassing her saying that she only wanted a protection order to keep him away from confronting her over the matter.
Pfute, however, told the court that their marriage had hit troubled times.
“He always says that he wants me out of his house because I said I was tired of him,” she said.
