
HARARE, March 5, (NewsDay Live) - Empowerment group, My Africa Child and Youth Development Organization (MACYDO) has called on young local entrepreneurs, innovators, and leaders to participate in the upcoming Zimbabwe International Youth Trade Fair and Conference (ZIYTFC) 2025 in order to sharpen their leadership and entrepreneurial skills.
The conference is going to be held at the Harare International Conference Centre on May 30 this year.
Addressing journalists in Harare on Wednesday, MACYDO chief executive officer Vimbai Butawu said that the conference will give young leaders an opportunity to interact with global entrepreneurs, policymakers and academia.
"We urge all entrepreneurs, innovators, students, and aspiring change-makers to mark the date and be part of this transformative event. This noble event is designed to empower and inspire the next generation of Zimbabwe entrepreneurs, innovators and business leaders," said Butawu.
"This is a golden opportunity to learn from global leaders, network with like-minded individuals, and be part of a movement that is shaping the future of Zimbabwe and Africa. This event will serve as a launchpad for young people to connect with global business leaders, investors and policymakers, fostering an ecosystem where ideas can flourish, partnerships can be built and new enterprises can take root," she said.
The conference is expected to attract over 4 000 young leaders from across Africa, offering them a unique platform to network, collaborate and learn from influential leaders in business, government and academia through various exhibitions.
Butawu also said that the event is aimed at celebrating the brilliance and entrepreneurial spirit of young people, while paving the way for new opportunities and partnerships for Africa's future leaders.
