HARARE (NewsDay Live) Feb 15 - Three people were killed in a mine shaft accident at Yellowsnake 37 mine in Kwekwe, the police have said.
“The victims had entered into a mine shaft using a cage. As the victims were getting out of the shaft a safety hook, which fastened the rope to the cage broke, resulting in the cage falling down the shaft,” the police said on their X handle.
“Subsequently, the cage overturned and crushed the victims. The bodies of the victims were taken to Kwekwe General Hospital for post mortem.”
