
HARARE, Feb 7 (NewsDay Live) - One of Zimbabwe’s leading hoteliers, African Sun Limited has launched a promotional campaign to boost domestic tourism.
This comes as the group has embarked on a programme to recapitalise and promote its business in the midst of low occupancy rates.
The group’s properties, including Hwange Safari Lodge, Troutbeck Resort and Elephant Hills Resort, are being marketed as ideal getaways for those seeking adventure, relaxation or romance.
The group's promotion packages which run from January to March 31 starts at US$70 and some additional specials on certain meals.
“African Sun Weekends Promotion is a special offer designed to create magical experiences for travellers seeking relaxation and adventure.
“This promotion invites guests to immerse themselves in the beauty of Zimbabwe, with rates starting as low as US$70 per person on a bed-and-breakfast basis,” African Sun said in a statement.
According to African Sun, guests will enjoy exclusive rates at different resorts including Caribbea Bay Resort and Great Zimbabwe Hotel.

Additional offers include 10% off buffet meals at all hotels, free stay for children below 12 years when sharing a room with parents and 50% discount on meals.
Infants under the three are getting free meals and free stay.
The promotion requires a two-night stay with a minimum of two adults per room, but does not apply to bookings for conferences.
