THE Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has released names of five of the six people who died in a plane crash in the Zvamahande area of Mashava, Masvingo province.
The small aircraft, which headed to Harare from Murowa Diamonds crashed Friday last week.
In a statement, national police spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi said work is in progress to identify the sixth victim who is believed to have come in the country as a visitor.
"Harpla Singh Randhawa (60) of Murowa Diamonds, Amer Singh Randhawa who was son to Harpla Singh Randhawa, George Sibanda (51) of Marowa Diamonds, Nikhil Mahadik Milind of Murowa Diamonds and Reginald Muchemwa (38) who was the pilot," read the statement.
This is the second plane crash involving a RioZim plane in eight months.
In February, a Piper 31 Navajo plane made an emergency landing in a field near Beatrice, injuring the five people on board. The plane was flying diamonds to Harare.
