THE die is cast. A date has been set for the anticipated second edition of Miss Teen of the Universe Zimbabwe.
Slated for July 26, the ceremony is being billed to be grander than the previous one.
The pageant’s spokesperson, Mbulelo Mpofu, said preparations had entered the final phase.
“After months of fierce competition, 14 finalists of Miss Teen of the Universe Zimbabwe are ready to take the stage for the grand finale. The finale will be held at the Africa Sun Holiday Inn, Samora Machel Avenue in Harare on July 26, 2025 at 18:00hrs,” Mpofu.
This year’s pageant will run under the theme, Empowering the Girl Child by Promoting Culture and Heritage towards Vision 2030, which highlights the “pageant's commitment to empowering young women from different backgrounds and to promoting community involvement”.
“The grand finale is more than just a competition; it's a celebration of the hard work and dedication of our contestants. We are excited to showcase their talents and recognise their contributions to our community. It all comes full circle on the 26th of July as we are set to find out who succeeds last year’s winner, who made us proud in India."
The organisation has received the backing of sponsors this year, which has long been a burning issue in the entertainment industry in Zimbabwe, where most creatives decry lack of funding.
These include My Afrika Magazine, ZimTickets, House of Langa, Moments in Time Photography, Mrs Sinkwa, City Link, Rumour Magazine, Clout Inc, Most Original, Rugare Medical, Bantu Clothing, Royal Infinity, Executive Coaches, Blue Island Driving School, Girl Talk, Limitless Designs, African Glam Beauty Parlour, TSE Group, Mavie's Events and Women in Gemstones Association of Zimbabwe (WIGAZ).
