AS winter waves goodbye and summer slowly beckons, evenings are getting warmer. Party animals and extroverts have already begun to mark their social calendars and naturally artistes are doing the same.
Singer Phila “Stormza” Nkiwane told NewsDay Life & Style that he was in the studio cooking up jams to amplify the fun this summer.
“Now that the sun is coming out with more blaze, it is time to let go of our sorrows and shake off the blues. Gone with the winter, it is our past. We are going back to the swing of groove with the movers and shakers,” he said.
Stormza is famed for recording Farewell, a song which pays tribute to the late playwright, actor and theatre director Cont Mhlanga, who was also the founder and head of the Amakhosi Theatre Productions Company. He died last year on August 1.
Stormza has been dropping hit after hit, earning himself significant space on the local airwaves.
“This week will be a good one, the vibe will be proper. I am dropping Siyashibilika which is a very hot track. It is going to be similar to what happened with Istoko_esinompakitsho, people found it hard to believe that it was my song because I really went to town on it and put double effort.”
On this latest offering, Stormza said he partnered multiple artistes.
“I made something with vocalists amaKruger, Pepc and Asaph. I also collaborated with Culture Spirits for a track titled Waya Waya which is a club banger and echoes the good vibes,” he noted.

“I will also put up some competition online, specially a TikTok challenge where the winner will take all. I just want to tell my people to buckle up because it is time for the roller coaster ride as summer is here.”
