THE stakes are high in the ruling Zanu PF party. Party central committee member and firebrand war veteran Blessed “Bombshell” Geza is pulling all stops to derail the ED2030 project.
Now he has a bull’s eye at the back of his head because some people feel he wants to eat their lunch.
Police have released a statement saying they are “seeking information on the location of Blessed Runesu Geza, alias Bombshell” whom they intend to question.
They say he is facing four counts of criminal charges, which are for theft of three vehicles and disposing of them, two counts for undermining the authority of or insulting the President and one for incitement to commit public violence.
“The Zimbabwe Republic Police reiterates that anyone who is harbouring the suspect or assisting him to evade police questioning will be equally liable for arrest and subsequent prosecution,” the police said.
Geza is miffed by the state of affairs in the country.
There are no jobs, there is no economy to talk about, retailers are closing shop and we are being forced to use a currency that no one wants, not even the authorities themselves. The quality of life has plummeted, among a cocktail of challenges we grapple with everyday.
Geza wants President Emmerson Mnangagwa to resign, accusing him of various transgressions that include corruption, cronyism, nepotism and tribalism, among others.

Whether the allegations are true or not it is not in our place to comment, but citizens have long complained about the failure of the Mnangagwa administration to bring normalcy to the economy.
They want jobs, houses, a living wage, improved quality of life, faith in their currency and consistent policies.
This is what Mnangagwa’s regime is failing to address which has angered many in this beautiful nation.
Citizens want an equitable share of the country’s natural resources, which at present are a preserve of the elite.
Citizens want reliable service delivery, where power and water are consistently available in their homes.
They want new power development policies that do not choke investments.
They do not want soiled characters to continue getting government tenders, inflate prices and pile public debt on the long-suffering taxpayer.
They want people who access tenders to execute the projects to completion so that they are paid for services rendered.
Unfortunately, when citizens such as Geza and many others speak out about the ills besetting our country, they are threatened with arrest, assault or ostracism.
Those who are pushing the ED2030 agenda are turning the screws on people’s lives.
They want to continue exploiting the country’s natural resources at the expense of the whole nation.
We cannot have a situation where a few greedy individuals mutilate the Constitution to their advantage.
We resist any attempts to deprive the nation of fresh ideas.
Mnangagwa has been at the helm for seven years and is in his eighth, with three more until 2028 when his term officially concludes.
He has improved road infrastructure, rehabilitated the Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport and Beitbridge Border Post, and is overseeing the construction of the Museum of African Liberation.
This is a massive improvement from the torpor that had set root under the regime of the late Robert Mugabe.
He has engraved his name in the annals of Zimbabwean history, hence he does not need a further two years to assert himself, which may end in embarrassment.
We do not want a life President in this country.
Mugabe did not own this country, that is why he had to go at some point.
Mnangagwa, too, does not own Zimbabwe and when his tenure ends in 2028, he has to bid farewell.
We say no to the mutilation of the Constitution to further selfish individual ends.
