VIGLAMZ founder Vimbai Masamba has won the Outstanding Woman in Business and Entrepreneurship of the Year Under 40 Award at the recently held the Megafest National Women’s Awards 2025.
ViGlamz provides jewellery and accessories designed to complete a fashion look.
The awards are an annual event held by Megafest Holdings (Megafest).
Speaking at the award ceremony held in Harare recently, Megafest board member Ivan Graig said the event was set to celebrate excellence and remarkable achievements of women in business.
“Tonight, we stand on a powerful platform that recognises not only individual brilliance but also the collective spirit of women, who are shaping industries, creating employment, building communities, and inspiring generations to come,” he said.
Megafest public relations manager Vuyolethu Moyo said the awards recognise women in different industries who were not typically recognised.
“The Megafest Business Awards, the Megafest National Women’s Business Awards are to encourage the women, to recognise the women. We’ve had so many women in different industries who have not been recognised,” she said.
In a follow-up interview with Masamba, she told NewsDay that her passion for beauty in jewellery and accessories drove her to start ViGlamz.
She added that she enjoyed helping people look good and feel confident.
“I started this business out of a passion for beauty, creativity, and helping people feel confident through style,” Masamba said.
“I saw a gap for affordable, unique accessories that make bold statements and reflect personal identity, and I wanted to fill it.”
Masamba noted that jewellery and accessories bring new ideas that tell a story.
“Fashion is about seasons and times and occasions, so we have to constantly bring new pieces that tell a story,” she said.
“Each piece is designed to be bold yet wearable, with a focus on detail, quality, and self-expression.
“What makes my jewellery unique is that it tells a story — personal, stylish, and full of confidence.”
The ViGlamz founder added that she put customers at the forefront.
“Putting our customers first has contributed to growth because once we catered for their needs they started coming for more,” Masamba said.
She stays firm in the business by monitoring global trends on the trending styles.
“I keep a close eye on global fashion, social media, and customer feedback. I also follow seasonal forecasts, and blend trending styles with timeless elements,” Masamba said.
