Rainbow markets Montclair Resort & Conference Hotel for Easter

RTG recently acquired the property for US$5 million to have a foothold in the eastern highlands as Montclair is nestled in the centre of this region, Nyanga.

HOSPITALITY group, Rainbow Towers Group (RTG) has begun marketing its newly acquired property, the Montclair Resort & Conference Hotel (Montclair) as a premium destination in the group starting with Easter, amid refurbishment plans to represent its signature brand.

RTG recently acquired the property for US$5 million to have a foothold in the eastern highlands as Montclair is nestled in the centre of this region, Nyanga.

The acquisition makes Montclair the group’s seventh property.

“Rainbow Tourism Group’s Montclair Resort & Conference Hotel is the ideal leisure destination for families, adventure seekers and nature lovers looking for an unforgettable getaway this Easter. Nestled in the heart of the Eastern Highlands, Montclair stands out as a beacon of serenity, comfort, charm and adventure,” RTG said in a statement.

“Surrounded by the rolling hills and lush valleys of Nyanga, the hotel provides guests with panoramic views and a diverse range of activities for all ages. Renowned for its cool climate, breathtaking scenery, and warm hospitality, it offers a truly unique escape in one of Zimbabwe’s most picturesque regions.”

The group revealed that with 85 guest rooms, Montclair is the largest hotel in Nyanga.

RTG chief executive officer Tendai Madziwanyika confirmed that the group was in the process of giving Montclair a makeover into the group’s signature brand.

“We have begun the process of aligning the service culture, systems, standards and overall guest experience with the refreshing ethos that defines RTG,” he said.

“The hotel will undergo refurbishment in the coming months.

“Preliminary work has already commenced on the grounds to ensure pristine gardens.

“We will be updating the market on our progress.”

Montclair is designed to cater both relaxation and recreation, making it ideal for families, couples and groups alike.

The hotel is also a popular destination for educational trips, offering students a safe and enriching environment for cultural discovery, environmental learning and outdoor fun.

“As a hub for business and events, the hotel features a main conference venue with capacity for up to 200 delegates, along with smaller meeting rooms ideal for 30 to 60 guests,” RTG said.

“The vast estate has ample space for an outdoor marquee with a capacity of up to 800 guests, making Montclair a top choice destination for weddings, celebrations and corporate functions in a scenic and serene setting.”

Golf enthusiasts can also enjoy the sport at the nearby Clairmont Golf Club owned by RTG.

“This Easter, Montclair is pulling out all stops with a fun-filled programme of activities. Guests can look forward to a musical performance by renowned jazz artiste Mbeu, along with horse riding, quad biking, paintball shooting, and a lively Easter egg hunt for children and the young at heart,” RTG said.

Nyanga’s top attractions include the Mutarazi Falls, Mount Inyangani, Nyangombe Falls and abundant wildlife within the Nyanga National Park.
