Ariana touts new mineral find

Business
In a statement, Ariana Resources managing director Kerim Sener said the recent exploration work at the Dokwe Project was yielding positive results.

AIM-listed mineral exploration and development company, Ariana Resources plc (AIM: AAU), has announced the discovery of a new quartz vein breccia at its 100% owned Dokwe Gold Project in Zimbabwe.

This comes as the demand for mineral resources is increasing across the globe and Ariana is aiming to contribute via its projects towards technological development, energy efficiency, and the global decarbonisation agenda.

In a statement, Ariana Resources managing director Kerim Sener said the recent exploration work at the Dokwe Project was yielding positive results.

“Work undertaken near Dokwe North and Central has identified the potential for resource blue sky and the broader prospectivity of the project area has increased following the exploration results," he said

He said a soil sampling and a portable analytical technique, (pXRF) analysis at the Dokwe South area had led to the discovery of a quartz vein breccia, indicating the presence of mineralisation in this part of the project.

"A preliminary rock-chip sampling program returned high-grade silver results, with seven out of 22 samples assaying over 10.0 g/t silver, peaking at 35.2 g/t. This suggests the project may hold untapped silver potential in addition to its primary gold focus," Sener said.

He added that Ariana was now in the final stages of planning for regional exploration and resource infill drilling programs at Dokwe, as the company looks to capitalise on the project's growing exploration potential.

“Investors can expect further updates from the company as this work progresses,” he said

Ariana is an AIM-listed mineral exploration and development company with an exceptional track record of creating value for its shareholders through its interests in active mining projects and investments in exploration companies. Its current interests include a major gold development project in Zimbabwe, gold production in Türkiye, and copper-gold exploration and development projects in Cyprus and Kosovo.

The Dokwe Gold Project is located in Zimbabwe and covers an area of approximately 300 square kilometres and has significant exploration upside, with multiple prospects identified within a 7km radius of the proposed processing plant location.
