INOX Clean Energy, part of the INOXGFL Group, together with RJ Corp Limited (which includes Varun Beverage Ltd as one of its companies) and in conjunction with SkyPower, today announced the launch of a fully integrated renewable energy platform. The initiative is designed to deploy more than 10 gigawatts (10+ GW) of solar-powered infrastructure across Africa at industrial speed and scale.
Through an equal joint venture between INOX Clean Energy and RJ Corp, the partnership has acquired SkyPower Services MENA Ltd. This establishes a scalable Independent Power Producer (IPP) platform focused on high-growth African markets, including Zimbabwe, Zambia, and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Strategic Entry into Zimbabwe: 500 MW Solar Development
As a primary step under this strategic initiative, RJ Corp-through the joint venture-is investing in a 500 MW solar power project in Zimbabwe. This landmark development represents the platform's entry into Africa's energy sector and aligns with the Vision 2030 agenda of His Excellency Dr Cde. Emmerson D. Mnangagwa, President of the Republic of Zimbabwe, to achieve energy security and middle-income economic status. The initiative aims to support national transformation by delivering reliable clean energy infrastructure to homes, schools, universities, agricultural operations, and industries across Zimbabwe.
The announcement coincides with the SADC
Energy Summit hosted by Zimbabwe's Minister of Energy and Power Development, Hon. Mr July Moyo and the Government of Zimbabwe in Victoria Falls from 23-27 February 2026. INOX Clean Energy and RJ Corp welcome Heads of State, Energy Ministers, policymakers, and industry stakeholders to visit their Energy Pavilion to explore the platform's future investment plans in Zimbabwe, Zambia and DRC in particular, and Africa at large.
An Integrated Industrial Platform of Unmatched Scale
The initiative unites three complementary capabilities into a single development-ready, financing-ready, and execution-ready renewable energy engine:
