NetOne holds clean-up exercise, commits to promoting government's eco-friendly policy

HARARE, July 4 (NewsDay Live) -State-owned mobile network provider NetOne conducted a clean-up campaign across Harare on Friday, marking a significant stride in its efforts to keep the environment clean.

The exercise, undertaken in partnership with the Ministry of ICT, TelOne, ZimPost, and the City of Harare, reinforced TelOne's commitment to a cleaner and healthier environment in line with government's eco-friendly policy.

Several teams went about picking litter and waste in key areas, including the central business district, Warren Park and eastern suburbs.

"At NetOne, we believe in a sustainable future for our country. Environmental conservation is not just a responsibility; it is a necessity if we are to secure a better tomorrow for future generations,"

NetOne Group CEO Raphael Mushanawani told journalists during the clean-up exercise.

Mushanawani also highlighted NetOne’s crucial role as a key partner in the upcoming COP15 on Wetlands Conference, an international event, focusing on combating land degradation and promoting sustainable land management that is scheduled for Victoria Falls between July 21-30.
