YELLOW World, an organisation promoting arts and community development, is set to host the inaugural Pumula's Got Talent show in Bulawayo on June 28.
The event coincides with Men's Health Month.
The show aims to connect the community with its creatives and stakeholders, providing a platform for grassroots-level creatives to showcase their talents and access valuable resources.
Speaking to NewsDay Life & Style, Yellow World founder and executive director Mentor Dlamini said the event was a big step towards supporting the creative industry.
“This event is a crucial step towards empowering our youth and providing them with the necessary support to succeed in the creative industry.”
He said the show would feature indigenous creative acts, promoting the community and appreciating the country's culture.
“We are expecting the event to connect the community with its creatives and stakeholders as we have come to a realisation that most grassroots-level creatives have limited support or resources to establish foundations.”
“We have invited government authorities, community leaders, art practitioners, as well as companies to ensure that the event is insightful for all the youth participating,” Dlamini said.
"All our partners will install gazebos to offer their services for free on the day."
He added: ‘Bringing service providers to the community and having indigenous creative acts at the event promotes the community and appreciates our culture as a country. We must support and encourage young talents to do better in our community.”
Registration for the show is open to any creative artist from Bulawayo.
