Consul General of Zimbabwe to Israel Ron Levy Musan

The Zim-Israel Connect, an initiative meant to foster collaboration between Zimbabwe and Israel in the areas of spiritual, religious, tourism, and business, will be launched in Harare on Sunday.

The initiative is being led by Consul General of Zimbabwe to Israel Ron Levy Musan, Action for Empowerment Zimbabwe (AEZ) president Alson Darikayi and Life International Ministries founder Prophet Malcom Kaitano.

“The Zim-Israel Connect project aims to promote mutual understanding, cooperation, and knowledge sharing between Zimbabwe and Israel, focusing on creating a platform for spiritual, religious, tourism and economic investment and development,” said Darikayi.

He said the initiative will facilitate religious and spiritual exchanges between Zimbabwe and Israel as well as organise religious and pilgrimage tours for Zimbabwean Christians to the Holy Land.

“We will organise religious exchanges for Israeli Christians to Zimbabwe and promote mutually beneficial tourism exchanges between Zimbabwe and Israel,” Darikayi said.

“The initiative will also establish the Zim - Israel Chamber of Commerce to facilitate bilateral exchanges for business and investment opportunities.”

Darikayi said at the end of the day, they expect to enhance spiritual and cultural understanding through fostering greater understanding and respect between Zimbabwean and Israeli communities through pilgrimage tours and interfaith dialogue.

In the area of tourism, the Zim - Israel Connect initiative will promote tourism exchanges  and partnerships between Zimbabwe and Israel, showcasing each country's unique cultural and religious heritage and natural attractions.

Darikayi said on economic growth, the initiative will promote business partnerships, generating revenue and creating employment opportunities as well as increased investment in both countries through: business matchmaking, investment opportunities as well as job creation.

“We will also establish religious and cultural exchange programmes for artists, musicians, and performers from both countries,” Darikayi said.

Darikayi said the initiative will also establish the Zim-Israel Chamber of Commerce to unlock numerous business opportunities to facilitate bi-lateral relations in the areas of trade, investment opportunities, joint ventures, agricultural opportunities, opportunities in water management, renewable energy, tourism promotion and cultural exchange among many other areas of business.

Darikayi said the initiative will be launched on Sunday afternoon at the Life International Ministries in Harare.

Musan, Darikayi and Kaitano would be the main speakers.

Government representatives from the Tourism and Hospitality Industry, Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Industry and Commerce ministries are expected to grace the event.
