Several houses that were built in low and high-density suburbs in most urban areas during the colonial era have outdated interiors and exteriors that are visually unappealing.
Most of these houses are old that they cannot fulfill modern life needs. They have developed fallen roofs or walls due to leaks, electrical problems or a crack in the foundation which endanger the safety of people living in them.
From the latest design styles to kitchen renovation, home makeovers are trending in major cities, a random survey carried by Standard Style reveal.
Concrete products manufacturer Pavcon Industries are leading the way from construction to architecture and design.
“We have discovered a niche market in home renovations and we are leading the home remodeling process,” Pavcon Industries CEO Shelton Paza said.
“If you look at most buildings that were built during the colonial era, you would realise that their plans and designs are archaic.
“We have diversified our business to include home makeovers.”
Paza said his company is also involved in the paving of driveways, home makeovers and plumbing.

The businessman in the company of Chedenga Foundation has also donated shoes, socks, jerseys and tracksuits to vulnerable pupils at St Joseph Mupereki Primary School in Mhondoro-Ngezi.
Recently Pavcon Industries joined forces with the Tilda Foundation and other organisations to assist former radio and TV personality John “Mzala” Phiri.
The company chipped in with resources and labour for the makeover of the former media personality’s house.
