The White Horse Inn, is one of the leading hotels in the Eastern Highlands’ perched in the Vumba escarpment just outside Mutare.

SOLOIST Steve Chikoti will tonight serenade guests with romantic melodies when he headlines a Valentine’s Day dinner at White Horse Inn in Eastern Highlands.

The White Horse Inn, is one of the leading hotels in the Eastern Highlands’ perched in the Vumba escarpment just outside Mutare.

Apart from the dinner, the refurbished hotel has rolled out Valentine’s Day specials throughout the week.

The specials begin today and end next weekend.

White Horse Inn director Frank Marembo said the hotel was geared to host the Valentine’s Day dinner, including a potpourri of activities to venerate the week of love.

“It is that time of the year again where lovers and couples can spend memorable times together,” Marembo told Standard Style.

“As White Horse Inn, we are inviting lovers to come for a dinner ceremony and we are just saying treat your Valentine to a romantic dinner.”

He said the dinner and a series of other events to mark Valentine’s Day are being held in a tranquil set up.

“Lovers who will spend Valentine's Day at the White Horse Inn will have a feel of the lavish accommodation and experience intimate moments in some rolling lawn amidst the lush surroundings,” Marembo said.

He said the veteran jazz crooner would serenade guests with his sing-along tracks, plucked off his albums such as Wega and Nzendo (Journey).

“I promise a cocktail of classic love songs both old and new skool,” Chikoti said.

“There will be some of my own songs themed for the occasion.”

White Horse Inn, situated 15km outside Mutare, has over the years fulfilled every aspect of a high calibre two-star hotel offering five-star cuisine.

The hotel has some of the optimum rooms, adorned in sinuous colours to complement the fabulous outdoor vegetation.

The hotel is surrounded with rare species of trees and plants compounded by terraced gardens that attract a variety of bird life, magnificent footpaths, natural streams, as well as the Vumba’s rare Samango monkeys.

An expert resident bird guide is available for guided bird walks upon request.
