Hip-hop veteran Stunner has joined the bandwagon of local artists who support President Emerson Mnangagwa, if a video making rounds on social media is anything to go by.
Stunner is seen in a video with three fans endorsing Mnangawa’s rule whilst showing off Men BelievED designer clothes.
Men BelievED is a movement by men meant to garner support for the Zanu PF leader ahead of the 2023 elections.
The video was received with mixed feelings amongst the artist’s fans with some blasting him for joining Zanu PF whilst others defended his constitutional right to support whoever he wants.
Stunner could not be reached for comment as his mobile phone was not reachable.
Other artists who have publicly expressed their support for Mnangagwa are DJ Towers and Passion Java, a record label owner which houses artists such as Roki, DJ Oskid and others. The two have been embarking on nationwide campaigns for Mnangagwa and donating food.
Late last year, Zanu-PF appointed musician and raunchy dancer Sandra Ndebele as its representative for young women in economic development and empowerment in Bulawayo.

“Another dry, cut and paste job as Zanu PF_Official has appointed Sandra Ndebele as their Bulawayo representative for Young Women in Economic Development. However, the abiding idea behind the move makes the whole thing pitiful. It’s a clear scramble for popularity and youth support,” said Mliswa.
“The move exhibits a low regard for the Zimbabwean electorate’s mentality. People can now see beyond these platitudinous actions which seek to harness and transfer popularity from a different sphere into the party’s community of politics.”
Last year, comedienne Mai TT led a women’s delegation that met Mnangagwa at State House under the banner Women for ED [economic development].
Modeling instructor and mental health advocate Sipho Mazibuko also joined the ruling party and is registered under ward four in Bulawayo.
In an interview with Standard Style after joining Zanu PF, Mazibuko said she joined out of her own volition as she believes it is the “right party” to belong to as it offers many opportunities.
“Previously I didn’t belong to any political party, but I would vote. However, now I have chosen to associate myself with a party, which is Zanu PF,” she said.
“I feel Zanu PF is the right party to join since it has proper structures that can be used nationwide.
“I really like the initiatives that the second republic is doing to better the lives of the youths and women spearheaded by the first lady Auxilia Mnangagwa. I want to use my influence and skills to help in the socio-economic change of my country.”
The country which is battling an economic crisis, high unemployment, corruption and lack of investment will hold its harmonised elections in 2023.
