About Gaza: Speak now or forever be silent!

The present situation began on October 7, when Israeli defense forces were caught unawares by Palestinian patriotic resistance fighters, losing 1 200 men.

To appreciate the power of the Israeli lobby in the US, I will give a few examples.

When US secretary of defense, Lloyd Austin was taking questions from the international press a few days ago, a Jewish correspondent phrased a question in this form.

“What will the US do if Israel orders it to join the war in Lebanon?” she asked.

Austin did not bother to correct the woman about whether Israel can order the US to go to war with a foreign country.

We now know in hindsight that when the US went to war with Iraq, Afghanistan  and Syria, the so-called war mongers in the George W. Bush administration were in close alliance with Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

The present situation began on October 7, when Israeli defense forces were caught unawares by Palestinian patriotic resistance fighters, losing 1 200 men.

This event, however, precipitated a pre-programmed plan to wipe out the 2.3 million Gazan Palestinians with the support and active participation of the US.

As we speak, the US has placed its elite forces to advise the genocidal Netanyahu in the campaign to murder Gazans.

As we go to press, we are  being made aware that Western hegemony is breathing its last breadth. This imperialism, led by European countries and their settler colonies, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, are suffering a catharsis of moral certainty.

I must pose here to remind our leaders of my favorite Zimbabwean rhetorician, Brian Kagoro. This is his theory. Empires are not entirely based on force, though force is usually not far behind, but on creating and disseminating credible narratives. US and European hegemonies have created a narrative that their global leadership is based on a  rules-based ideal; put simply on a superior moral order.

Thus, former US president Barak Obama could with a simple face utter these words. “We must now teach the Chinese our rules-based order.” This was in reference to the World Trade Organisation. It never occurred to Obama that the Chinese had no part in writing the world trade rules, and that with the US dollar as the global currency, those rules were skewed in the US’ favor.

But Gaza has exposed the whole western narrative as not only false, but that it was never intended to be applied to people other than those of European origin to begin with.

To make things worse, US Generation X (those between 15 and 35) who have been to high school or college, have been exposed to the emptiness of the western narrative. Add this the presence of the cell phone, Tik Tok and Instagram. Generation X has been able to by-pass US-Israel hegemony narratives.

As we speak, Generation X is organizing the mother of all demonstrations in Washington, D.C. on the 13th of January, to protest the great wickedness committed against Palestinians.

Remember that the western narrative argued that their hegemony was based on a superior moral order. Generation X has exposed that lie.

Article 11: Geneva Convention on Genocide (1948): “Genocide means any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical racial or religious group, such as killing members of the group, causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group, (and) deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about physical destruction in whole or in part.”

Thirty-three Harvard University student bodies (the citadel of western hegemonial learning) and student bodies all over the United States, including those at George Town University ( a leader in legal learning) and those from Stanford University, despite threats by the Jewish lobby to punish them, are defying the odds and standing with the suffering Palestinians.

But here is the issue. Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, stands on a podium, and says that because of a resistance event by Gazan patriots that killed 1 200 Israeli citizens, he is going to slaughter, drive away 2.3 million Gazans from their homes, and make Gaza a football field.

“Therefore, when the Lord has given, you rest from all your enemies, you shall blot out the memory of Amalek from under heaven, you shall not forget.” (Deut. 25/17)

While this passage is a perfect description of genocide, that is not the issue which is at the heart of student protests. While Netanyahu was saying these bad words, his toddies, US president Joe Biden, US
