Ray of hope for beleaguered TelOne FC as sponsors FLIMAS unveil new kit

The timely boost comes at a critical juncture for the Gweru-based outfit, who are currently enduring a nightmare campaign on the field of play.

HARARE, Jun. 6 (NewsDay Live) —  In a season that has offered very little to smile about, beleaguered Castle Lager Premier Soccer League side TelOne FC finally found a reason to cheer on Friday following the official unveiling of a new kit sponsorship deal by Fidelity Life Medical Aid Society (FLIMAS).

The timely boost comes at a critical juncture for the Gweru-based outfit, who are currently enduring a nightmare campaign on the field of play.

It has been a staggering fall from grace for the WiFi Boys. After an impressive campaign last season where they finished fifth in the league, the 2026 season has been nothing short of a disaster.

TelOne currently anchors the Premier Soccer League log standings after 15 matches—just two games away from the halfway stage of the season. The statistics make for grim reading for the Gweru faithful, with the team managing to accumulate a meagre 8 points out of a possible 45.
