CHICKEN Inn will be hoping to steer away from the danger zone with a win over Green Fuel when the two sides clash at Luveve Stadium this afternoon.
The 2015 champions are coming from a 4-2 win over Kwekwe United away from home in Gweru after a four-match winless streak in which they lost two games and drew two.
Coach Joey Antipas is confident his GameCocks have turned the corner after that victory.
“We are trying to pick ourselves up from the poor start that we had,” he said.
“I believe that we just have to keep on working, keep on pushing hard and start believing in ourselves.
“If you look at our last game that we played against Kwekwe United in Gweru, we were 2 nil down and we came came back, fought back and eventually won the game.”
He added: “We are hoping that is the start of good things to come. But we just have to stay humble and continue working hard.
I believe if we work hard and push ourselves to the limit, we can definitely turn the corner.”

Chicken Inn are back home where they lost log leaders MWOS and Antipas is not happy about his side failing to defend its fortress, where they have not won a game in four matches.
“For our game against Green Fuel tomorrow (today), they are a very good side, one of the teams that I think are a difficult side to break down,” he said.
“So we are just hoping for the best, hope to bring our ‘A’ game, persevere and get three points.
“We are playing at Luveve and if you look at our record, we have not won in five games and we want to turn all that around.
“If we can do that, we are definitely on our way up.”
Brighton Makopa was the toast of the day last weekend when The GameCocks beat Kwekwe United after scoring four goals.
But just like other former champions, Dynamos and Caps United, Chicken Inn are in an unfamiliar position, sitting on position 11 on the table with just two wins, six draws and three defeats and just 12 points, 10 behind pacesetters MWOS after playing 11 matches.
