CHICKEN Inn’s hotshot Brian Muza is doubtful for today’s Castle Lager Premier Soccer League tie against reigning champions Simba Bhora at Luveve Stadium due to injury.
Muza scored the winner against Dynamos last week at Rufaro Stadium which was the first victory for the Gamecocks in the six matches they have played so far in the league.
The win was a confidence-booster for Chicken Inn, and coach Joey Antipas says they are hopeful to carry on from where they left off last week, but indicated that Simba Bhora will not be a stroll in the park.
“We are hoping to pick up from where we left off last week. We know we are up against a good and strong Simba Bhora side. We have to go out there and come up with a good performance if we think of taking any points. All we have to do is just stay calm. We have got to believe in ourselves and go there with confidence and enjoy the game. Our worry is about Muza. He has a bit of groin strain. He is doubtful for tomorrow’s (today’s) match,” Antipas said.
His opposite, Joel Luphahla, expects a tough match as Simba Bhora have not beaten Chicken Inn at Luveve since they ventured into the top league and hopes they break that jinx.
Simba Bhora are also flying high after dispatching Manica Diamonds in their last game.
“It's going to be a difficult game. We were looking at Simba Bhora’s history; they have never won there against Chicken Inn, which makes it more difficult and the fact that they [Chicken Inn] went to Dynamos and got three points. Their confidence is high and we are playing them at the wrong time. It will be very difficult. We are hoping that our boys will come to the party and give something to smile about to our travelling fans. It's up to the players and they look eager to play,” Luphahla said.
Midfielder Butholezwe Ncube will miss the tie due to suspension.

“We have other players who can fit in. We have no injuries in camp, just that suspension. Butho played a blinder of a game last week, but we will make adjustments,” Luphahla said.
One man to watch in the Simba Bhora side is Junior Makunike, who scored a gem of a goal in their last game.
