Caps, Scottland attendance figures revealed

HARARE, March 11, (NewsDayLive) - The Caps United versus Scottland match played on Sunday attracted 11 000 paying fans with the home team grossing over US$60 000.

While the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League and Caps United, who were the home team, are yet to release the figures, NewsDay Sport has been told that 10 995 fans paid their way into the stadium for the clash.

The figure is the highest at Rufaro Stadium so far this season.

The colorful crowd created a carnival atmosphere with both sets of fans doing their best to inspire their teams on.

Scottland, playing their second match in the topflight league after promotion from Division One took all three points after a 2-0 win in the pulsating match.

The cheapest ticket was pegged at $5 while the most expensive seat was $20.

The VVIP section was reserved for Premier Soccer League card holders and invited guests.
