Premier Soccer League side, Herentals forward Tino Benza is hoping to add more goals to his game this season and play a bigger role in his team.
Benza missed about a dozen matches last season having gone on an attachment in the United Kingdom.
He played 23 matches for his club and scored one goal but harvested 10 assists having been moved from a centre forward position to the wing.
The attacker wants to score more goals from that position this time around.
In the 2023 season Benza scored seven goals and notched up ten assists.
He made it among the Soccer Stars of The Year finalists.
"We are gearing up for a new season and you always approach a new season with a new mindset," he said. "As a team we are preparing well and looking forward to a fresh start. We obviously want to do better than we did last season and as an individual I always thrive to improve myself. I hope this time I can contribute more goals, that's my target. But of course it's not about me being selfish and try to notch up good numbers for myself at the expense of the time. I believe we can improve as a team and that if the team plays well we naturally get many chances to score and assist. I think this will be an exciting season for us. We can't wait."
He is hoping to use lessons learnt from his UK attachment last season to good effect.
