NEWLY-PROMOTED Northern Region Division One side Scottland have invaded the transfer market as the first step towards a total revamp of their squad ahead of possible participation in the Premier Soccer League next season.
Even though they could yet find themselves playing Division One football again next season, they have since opened up their cheque book to snap up the best talent on the local scene.
They are looking at assembling a competitive squad for the topflight league next season.
The Highlanders duo of defender Peter Muduhwa and striker Lynoth Chikuhwa have since signed for the club, while several other players from the topflight teams are set to join the bandwagon.
Muduhwa and Chikuhwa, who will be free agents by the end of the season, have already turned their back on Bosso for the riches of the gold-backed Scottland.
Tanaka Shandirwa, who was prematurely unveiled by Caps United last week only for Yadah to come out claiming they still have a running contract with the midfielder, is on Scottland’s wish list.
They will, however, have to compete with Simba Bhora, who are also keen for the midfielder as they put together a strong squad for the Caf Champions League.
Yadah, who are banned from signing new players, are said to be reluctant to release the player for next season after his loan spell expires with DeMbare next month.

Scottland are also set to flex their financial muscle to clinch the prized signature of Khama Billiat.
The 13-goal hero for Yadah this season will be a free agent at the end of the year and Scottland have already begun overtures.
Scottland have also began haunting Caps United as they have expressed interest in a number of their players, chief among them Kingsley Mureremba, who has been on top of his game this season.
Scottland have already approached Caps United over signing some players from the Green Machine which the latter will find difficult to hold on to some of their assets due to huge signing on fees, salaries and bonusesat stake.
Difficult as it may be, Caps United will give it a big fight and they showed they can also splash the cash after promising players winning bonuses of US$1 000 each for a win over Simba Bhora two weeks ago.
The Green Machine lost the closely-contested match 2-1.
Judgement on the Karoi versus Scottland match is expected in the next few days and the latter are expected to go on a signing spree as they prepare for the elite league.
Several players, particularly the veterans, will be released by the club to make way for fresh talent.
They will walk away richly rewarded for their efforts as the club owner, Pedzisai Sakupwanya, has promised each of them US$10 000 for winning promotion to the topflight.
In the run in to the title, the players’ bonuses were hovering between US$1 000 and US$1 500 per match.
Their arrival in the topflight will cause chaos in the transfer market, with players set to demand higher signing-on fees and salaries.
Dynamos, Highlanders and Caps United are already feeling the heat.
