Rhinos face Zifa sanctions

Sport
Rhinos are likely to face sanctions with the league having already condemned the army side's actions through a statement.

Zifa Northern Region Division One side Black Rhinos will be dragged to a disciplinary hearing following pitch incasion as well as harassing of match officials in their match against Mhangura at the weekend.

The hearing is set to take place next week.

Rhinos were leading 1-0 in the league match before Mhangura were awarded a penalty.

The players on the pitch barely protested but it was those on the bench as well as the technical team who raced onto the pitch remonstrating the awarding of the penalty.

The penalty was then taken and converted yet after the match, which ended 1-1, the technical team led another protest against match officials.

Rhinos are likely to face sanctions with the league having already condemned the army side's actions through a statement.

Part of the statement reads; "The deplorable behaviour can only tarnish the image of the league and therefore not called for and has no justification whatsoever."
