FC Platinum have withdrawn talisman Walter Musona and Brian Banda from the Warriors training camp, as they continue their bid to retain the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League title when they take on ZPC Kariba tomorrow.
The four-time Champions had four players in the national team training camp, but two have been withdrawn and goalkeeper Wallace Magalane and Thandolwenkosi Ngwenya have stayed behind.
South Africa-based Terrence Dzvukamanja and Dynamos goalie Prince Tafiremutsa have also left the Warriors camp.
Sylvestar Munhira of Cranborne Bullets and Ngezi Platinum’s Delic Murimba have been called in as the replacements.
Mapeza is hoping his men keep their winning momentum as they face a gruelling trip to resort town of Kariba.
They are sitting on a five-match winning streak, which has lifted their confidence that they can retain the title.
With eight games remaining before the season ends, they are second on the log standings five points behind leaders Ngezi Platinum who have 51 points.
Having defeated Ngezi to cut the gap, so pleased was Mapeza with the result that he just had to talk about it again yesterday.

“First of all I want to congratulate the boys on a massive win against Ngezi Platinum Stars. We did ourselves a favour in terms of getting win. We needed it but are now facing a very dangerous team.
“They have been going up and down in their last few games. They dropped points against Black Rhinos away.
“But that doesn’t mean its going to be easy for us. The weather conditions are also tough but at the end of the day, we know where we are coming from and what we want to achieve at the end of the season," Mapeza said.
The veteran gaffer is praying his men cope in the high temperatures.
"We have to put everything into that game. Everyone is looking except of some few guys who are still limping but I'm sure by tommorow, they will be fine when we leave for Kariba. They are going for treatment.
"I'm not really worried about the injuries. My worry is about the travelling and the weather conditions. There is nothing can do but this is a game we really need to come back home with a positive result," he added.
