Zimbabwe have hit their highest ODI total after smashing 409 runs in a Group A match of the ICC World Cup qualifier against the USA.
Their previous highest was 351 for 7 against Kenya in 2009. Sean Williams smashed 21 boundaries and five sixes as he scored 174 bucks runs, which became his highest in this format.
This new record-breaking total is a testament to the progress that Zimbabwean cricket has made in recent years, and it will give them great confidence for the remainder of the series and beyond.
Meanwhile, the USA, who won the toss and opted to field first, have lost five wickets in ten overs and they will be hoping for a miracle to win the match.
