THE transfer of CAPS United striker William Manondo continues to drag amid reports that the transfer fees sought by the Harare giants was putting off suitors.
Although the transfer fee they are demanding could not be established yesterday it is understood the Green Machine are determined to cash in on the in-demand forward.
A representative of a club from South Africa believed to be Sekukune was in Harare on Tuesday for a meeting with Caps United hierarchy led by chief executive, Charlie Jones.
The parties had initially planned to have a Zoom meeting on Monday, but it was postponed to Tuesday.
The meeting lasted hours, but the two parties failed to agree on a transfer fee.
Jones confirmed yesterday there was nothing agreed despite the meeting taking several hours.
“There is nothing yet,” he said without going into details.
Last week, another club representative from Zambian club Zanaco also flew into the country for talks over the player’s transfer, but an agreement could not be reached while engagements with another Zambian club Zesco have so far not yielded results.

The Castle Larger Premier Soccer League Golden Boot winner has attracted interest after his exploits since he joined Caps from Harare City.
Manondo was first runner-up to Walter Musona of FC Platinum, who won the Soccer Star of the Year award.
The Caps United hitman scored 17 goals, half of the total by the entire Caps United team and also provided 12 assists.
His overall contribution helped Caps survive relegation. Musona managed 14 goals.
